The format for a Journal Article Analysis (JAA) is very specific. Your review of the article/journal should be offered in no more than five pages. Each Journal Analysis will be graded 1-10. All JAA’s should have resources other than the article itself to support your analysis.
Your review of the article/journal should be offered in no more than five pages, excluding cover and references. A JAA should follow the following:
I. Introduction and purpose of the article.
II. Study methodology or theoretical framework of the article.
III. Analysis/discussion and findings
IV. Your assessment of any impact on criminal justice professionals
V. Your thoughts as to whether this is a positive or negative change and why
VI. Any questions specifically addressed to the article
JAAs must properly cite the source of the material and each analysis is to reference other material beyond other readings, and the journal article selected.
