Argument: Your analysis must draw on the course literature and develop a nuanced argument. You demonstrate your competency by choosing the essays that best support your topic and argument.
Abstract: When you have completed your essay, write a 250-word abstract that neatly summarizes your argument. The abstract should be placed on the first page at the beginning of your essay. It should be indented and justified.
Theme: Choose one of the course ethnographies to explore in terms of its ability to represent the lives of people, its use of exemplarity to engage theoretical debates, its overall structure and design (plot) and prose (craft).
