Instructions for Critical essay (Individual assessment):

You are required to write a 2,000 word essay that critically analyses, compares and contrasts the “best fit” and the “best practice” approach as described in the SHRM literature.

Assessment Criteria for Critical Essay (individual assessment)
1. Critique of the relevant literature: were the articles germane to the topic analysed critically (Hint: avoid mere regurgitation of the literature; instead synthesize the various view points to discern broad themes).
2. Cogent arguments: Did the essay take a particular position and was the position justified through sound arguments?
3. Logical structure, proof-reading and proper referencing: Was the flow of the argument logical? Was the work properly referenced and proof-read?
