Must be four to six pages in length, not including title page and reference page. Paper should be written on a current criminal justice topic of your choice.

Example topics include:

Immigration, Death Penalty, Use of Force, Racial Profiling, Prison Relocation, Serial Killers, etc..

Paper should use standard English; use Times New Roman 12-point font, double-spaced, with one-inch margins top, bottom, left and right; no slang, or text-messaging language; be clear and concise. Papers should include a pro, con and your own well thought-out opinion including why, and an explanation. For example, if you choose to write on the topic of the death penalty, you should include in your paper the reasons for putting people to death, the reasons for not putting people to death, and your own opinion on the subject. You should also include a strong conclusion.
